Does Turf Doctor carry the required licensing for HOA and commercial work in Michigan?

Yes. Michigan requires any company applying pesticides for hire, including fertilizer-herbicide combination products, to hold a Pesticide Application Business License through the Michigan Department of Agriculture and Rural Development (MDARD), along with individual applicator certification.

How many treatments does a typical HOA or commercial program include?

Most professional lawn care programs in Michigan run five to six treatments across the growing season, timed to the state’s cool-season grass growth cycle. The exact number depends on turf condition and what the initial walkthrough finds.

How soon will residents or tenants be able to use treated areas?

Children, pets, and toys should stay off treated areas until the product has fully dried — typically a few hours, though some products call for a longer waiting period.
